Greenhouse Labourer Jobs in Canada for Foreigner
Job Description
Prism Farms is hiring dedicated and detail-oriented Greenhouse Labourers to support daily greenhouse operations in Leamington, Ontario. This role involves assisting with plant care, harvesting, and general greenhouse maintenance to ensure healthy crop growth and efficient production.
The position is open to Canadian residents and foreign workers who are legally eligible to work in Canada. Employer support for a work permit or LMIA may be considered for qualified foreign candidates, in accordance with Canadian immigration regulations and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, and caring for greenhouse crops
- Harvest, sort, and pack produce according to quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of greenhouse areas and workstations
- Monitor plant health and report issues to supervisors
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely
- Support other greenhouse tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding work
- Willingness to work in a warm and humid greenhouse environment
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Previous greenhouse or farm experience is an asset but not required
- Basic English communication skills preferred
Salary
- Hourly wage: CAD $16.55 – $19.00 per hour
(Wages may vary based on experience, job duties, and Ontario employment standards)
