General Labourer – Farm Jobs in Canada for Foreigners

Job Description

Thwaites Farms Ltd. is seeking reliable and hardworking General Labourers to support day-to-day farm operations in Harrow, Ontario. The role involves assisting with planting, harvesting, crop care, and general farm maintenance. This position is suitable for individuals who are physically capable, dependable, and willing to work outdoors in a dynamic farm environment.

The position is open to Canadian residents and foreign nationals who are legally eligible to work in Canada. Employer support for a work permit may be considered for qualified foreign workers, strictly in compliance with Canadian immigration regulations and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist with planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops
2. Operate basic farm tools and equipment under supervision
3. Perform general farm maintenance tasks such as weeding, cleaning, and field upkeep
4. Load, unload, and transport farm materials and produce
5. Follow workplace safety, hygiene, and farm operation procedures
6. Support other seasonal and daily farm tasks as assigned
7. Report any equipment or operational issues to supervisors promptly

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• Previous farm or agricultural experience is an asset but not required
• Basic English communication skills preferred

Salary (Per Hour)

CAD $16.50 to $18.50 per hour, depending on experience and job responsibilities, in accordance with Ontario employment standards
