General Farm Worker
Job Description
Canadian Swine Academy Inc. is seeking motivated and reliable General Farm Workers to assist with day-to-day farm operations at its Stratford, Ontario location. The role involves supporting swine care, facility maintenance, and general farm activities in a safe and organized environment.
This opportunity is open to both Canadian residents and foreign workers who are eligible for a Canadian work permit under government-approved programs. The position requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying farm conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of swine.
- Clean and maintain barns, pens, and farm facilities.
- Operate basic farm equipment and tools safely.
- Support breeding, farrowing, and weaning processes under supervision.
- Sort, record, and monitor livestock data as directed by supervisors.
- Follow all farm safety protocols and animal welfare standards.
- Assist with general farm tasks, including minor maintenance and supply handling.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in livestock care or farm work preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and animal welfare
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Basic English communication skills
- Responsible, punctual, and dependable attitude
Salary
- CAD $19 to $25 per hour, based on experience and responsibilities
