General Farm Worker

Job Description

Golden Eagle Farms is seeking dependable and hardworking General Farm Workers to support crop production and daily farm operations. The farm operates in a structured and safety-focused environment, contributing to local agricultural supply in British Columbia.

This position is open to Canadian residents and foreign applicants who are legally eligible to apply for a Canadian work permit under approved government programs. The role involves outdoor work, physically demanding tasks, and seasonal peak workloads.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare fields for planting, including soil preparation and basic irrigation setup.
2. Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops according to farm schedules.
3. Sort, grade, and pack produce for distribution.
4. Operate basic farm tools and equipment safely.
5. Clean and maintain work areas, storage spaces, and farm facilities.
6. Assist with loading and unloading agricultural products.
7. Follow workplace safety procedures and supervisor guidance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous farm or agricultural experience preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to perform repetitive physical labor
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic understanding of farm safety standards
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Basic English communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible attitude

Salary

• CAD $18 to $24 per hour, depending on experience and job responsibilities
