Farm Worker

Job Description

A locally managed family farm operation in Cremona, Alberta is hiring dedicated Farm Workers to assist with daily agricultural activities. The farm focuses on responsible land management, seasonal crop production, and general farm maintenance.

This opportunity is open to Canadian residents and foreign applicants who are legally eligible to apply for a Canadian work permit under approved immigration programs. The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare soil, plant seeds, and assist with crop cultivation.
2. Irrigate fields and monitor crop growth.
3. Harvest crops manually or with basic farm equipment.
4. Sort, pack, and store agricultural produce.
5. Clean and maintain farm tools, machinery, and work areas.
6. Assist with livestock feeding and care if required.
7. Follow workplace safety standards and supervisor instructions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous farming or general labor experience preferred
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
• Willingness to work flexible hours during peak seasons
• Basic understanding of farm safety practices
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Basic English communication skills
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Salary

• CAD $18 to $23 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities
