Job Description

Highline Mushrooms is seeking an experienced and reliable Harvest Supervisor to oversee daily harvesting operations at its Abbotsford facility. This role involves managing a team of harvest workers, ensuring crop quality, and maintaining efficiency throughout the harvesting process. The position is ideal for individuals with leadership skills, experience in agricultural production, and a commitment to food safety and workplace standards.

The opportunity is open to Canadian residents and foreign nationals who are legally eligible to work in Canada. Employer support for a work permit may be considered for qualified foreign workers in compliance with Canadian immigration regulations and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate harvest workers to ensure timely and efficient crop collection
2. Monitor crop quality and ensure proper handling to meet company standards
3. Train and guide team members on harvesting techniques and safety protocols
4. Maintain records of harvested quantities and workforce activities
5. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
6. Assist in scheduling shifts and organizing labor resources for peak production periods
7. Report operational issues, equipment needs, or crop concerns to management

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in agricultural production or farm supervision
• Leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
• Knowledge of harvesting procedures and food safety standards
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Physically able to assist with hands-on farm work when needed
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Basic English communication skills required; additional languages an asset

Salary (Per Hour)

CAD $20.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities, in accordance with British Columbia employment standards
