Job Description

WAH FONG GROCERY is seeking reliable and hardworking Harvest Workers to support produce handling and harvest-related operations at its Calgary, Alberta location. This role involves assisting with receiving, sorting, and preparing fresh produce while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The position is open to Canadian residents and foreign workers who are legally eligible to work in Canada. Employer support for a work permit or LMIA may be considered for qualified foreign candidates, in accordance with Canadian immigration regulations and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist with harvesting-related produce handling and preparation
2. Sort, grade, and pack fruits and vegetables according to quality standards
3. Load, unload, and move produce safely within work areas
4. Maintain cleanliness of workstations and storage areas
5. Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
6. Inspect produce for quality and report issues to supervisors
7. Support general operations as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in harvesting, produce handling, or food operations is an asset
• Basic English communication skills preferred

Salary

• Hourly wage: CAD $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
  (Wages may vary based on experience, job duties, and Alberta employment standards)
