Tractor Operator – Farm Jobs in Canada With Foreigners
Job Description
SEKHON & SONS NURSERY INC. is looking for a skilled and safety-focused Tractor Operator to support daily nursery and farm operations in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This role involves operating tractors and related farm equipment to assist with land preparation, planting support, and general field maintenance.
The position is open to Canadian residents and foreign workers who are legally eligible to work in Canada. Employer assistance with a work permit or LMIA may be considered for qualified foreign applicants, in accordance with Canadian immigration regulations and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tractors and farm machinery safely and efficiently
- Prepare land for planting, cultivation, and maintenance
- Assist with nursery and field operations as required
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Follow workplace safety and operational procedures
- Work closely with farm supervisors and team members
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience operating tractors or similar farm equipment
- Knowledge of basic farm machinery operation and safety
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of performing farm-related tasks
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Basic English communication skills preferred
Salary
- Hourly wage: CAD $18.50 – $24.00 per hour
(Compensation may vary based on experience, equipment operated, and workload)
