Job Description
As a Produce Packer, you will be responsible for sorting, packing, and preparing fresh fruits and vegetables for distribution. You’ll work in a modern packing facility, ensuring all produce meets quality and safety standards before reaching customers across Canada and beyond.
This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Sort, grade, and pack fresh produce according to company standards
- Inspect fruits and vegetables for quality, freshness, and size
- Label and prepare packaged produce for shipment
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the work area
- Follow workplace health and safety guidelines
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Assist with basic warehouse or packing line duties as needed
Basic Salary (Per Hour)
- CAD $16.55 – $18.50 per hour
- Overtime pay may be available
- Weekly or bi-weekly pay (depending on contract)
Qualifications & Skills
- No formal education required
- Previous packing, factory, or farm experience is an asset (not mandatory)
- Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic understanding of English (spoken or listening)
- Physically fit and able to lift light to moderate loads
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
Visa Sponsorship (If Available)
- Visa sponsorship may be available for eligible foreign workers
- Support may be provided through Canadian work permit programs
- Final sponsorship depends on government approval and applicant eligibility
