As the Finance Manager, I am responsible for supervising daily accounting and finance transactions, preparing the annual budget of the organisation, overseeing the preparation of monthly financial reports for management information and decision making and to the Board of Directors and the Group Financial Controller in Denmark, preparing periodic cash-flow forecasts and supervising the monthly payroll process of my organisation. My role also involves supporting proposals for fundraising applications and ensuring compliance with tax laws in all financial business transactions. I am also responsible for ensuring that annual financial statements are prepared in accordance with IPSAS and audited by external auditors in line with statutory requirements. I also support the Group Financial controller with period end close procedures and preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. I manage a team of two accountants providing coaching, supervision, training, and development to ensure the department meets its objectives. I chair quarterly management meetings to discuss the financial performance of the organization against budget and also provide accounting and reporting guidelines on various business transactions to Management.

As a Senior Associate, I led several engagement teams (of mostly 4-8 people) on risk assessment and financial statement analysis for value creation while managing project resources available (human and financial) through budgeting and mentoring. I provided statutory and contractual audit and due diligence services to clients across various industries including Financial Services, Energy and Mining, Public Sector entities and Donor Funded Projects. I provided financial and tax advice to clients and guidance on the application of IFRS and transition from local GAAP to IFRS. I reviewed work done and reports prepared by team members on assignments for onward review by the engagement manager. I coordinated and managed all stakeholders in finance and audit engagements on daily basis to ensure timely and accurate deliverables are met. I monitored budget implementation and periodic financial reporting from project implementing partners. I reviewed and prepared financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) for Director/Partner review.
