The Strengthening Health Outcomes for Women and Children (SHOW) Project is a gender transformative initiative aimed at increasing the quality, availability, utilization and accountability of essential MNCH/SRH services to reduce maternal and child mortality amongst marginalized and vulnerable women, specifically adolescent girls, and their children in targeted regions across five countries (Bangladesh, Ghana, Haiti, Nigeria and Senegal). SHOW is aligned with the UN's Every Woman Every Child global strategy, and will help to drive progress towards reaching targets within Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 5.
Roles and responsibilities:
" Assists Project Manager and the rest of the team to design and manage project activities in assigned project districts;
" Monitor health related activities in project communities through regular visits, and submits report of such visits to ensure quality supervision and monitoring leading to improvement in program delivery;
" Support implementing partners to ensure Plan International guiding principles, program quality standards and donor requirements are met throughout cash transfer implementation.
" Ensure adherence to humanitarian standards, principles and best practices.
" Ensure programmatic and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place for partners, and that all team members and partners are aware of their responsibilities and implement accordingly.
" Participates in periodic health sector review meetings with GHS at the district level, and ensures greater collaboration with other strategic partners in health across the SHOW project districts;
" Under supervision of the Project Manager, facilitates capacity building of partners; CHWs, community Groups, etc. to ensure quality and timely delivery of project activities (including facilitation of training of partner NGOs and project communities);
