Bevo Farms Ltd is currently seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to joint our team as Vegetable Farm Workers. This position is open to foreigners who are looking for employment opportunities in Canada. As a Vegetable Farm Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks related to vegetable production and farm maintenance.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Planting, cultivating, and harvesting vegetables: You will assist with planting seeds or seedlings, ensuring proper spacing and care. You will also be responsible for monitoring plant growth, watering, weeding, and harvesting vegetables when they are ready.
- Crop maintenance: You will help maintain the overall health of the crops by monitoring for pests and diseases, applying fertilizers or pesticides as necessary, and ensuring proper irrigation systems are in place.
- Equipment operation: You may operate farm machinery such as tractors, irrigation systems, or harvesting equipment. Prior experience with operating farm equipment is a plus.
- Packing and sorting: You will participate in packing vegetables into crates or boxes according to quality standards. This may involve sorting vegetables based on size, color, or other specifications.
- General farm duties: You will assist with general farm maintenance tasks such as repairing fences, cleaning equipment or storage areas, and maintaining a clean working environment.
Requirements:
- No specific educational background is required.
- Previous experience in agriculture or farming is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical fitness to handle manual labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons if required.
- Valid work permit or visa allowing employment in Canada (for foreign applicants).
