Responsibilities:
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables according to established procedures
- Operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, irrigation systems, and machinery
- Monitor crop health and implement pest control measures as needed
- Assist with irrigation and fertilization activities
- Sort, grade, and pack harvested vegetables for distribution
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets
Requirements:
- Prior experience in vegetable farming or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing farming practices
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends or evenings when necessary
- A valid work permit or visa allowing employment in Canada (for foreigners)
