Job Description

Self and Family Managed Care – Client is seeking a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant to provide personal support services in a private home setting in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position is ideal for individuals who are patient, respectful, and committed to quality care.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will support daily living activities, mobility, and personal hygiene. You will work directly with the client and family members to ensure comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Support safe mobility and transfers.
  3. Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding if needed.
  4. Perform light housekeeping related to client care.
  5. Provide companionship and emotional support.
  6. Maintain daily care records.
  7. Follow health, safety, and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker certificate preferred.
  • Previous caregiving experience is an asset.
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Clear criminal record check required.
  • Good basic English communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
  • Physically able to assist with lifting and mobility support.

Work Conditions
