Harvest Worker Jobs in Canada for Foreigner
Job Description
WAH FONG GROCERY is seeking reliable and hardworking Harvest Workers to support produce handling and harvest-related operations at its Calgary, Alberta location. This role involves assisting with receiving, sorting, and preparing fresh produce while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
The position is open to Canadian residents and foreign workers who are legally eligible to work in Canada. Employer support for a work permit or LMIA may be considered for qualified foreign candidates, in accordance with Canadian immigration regulations and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with harvesting-related produce handling and preparation
- Sort, grade, and pack fruits and vegetables according to quality standards
- Load, unload, and move produce safely within work areas
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and storage areas
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
- Inspect produce for quality and report issues to supervisors
- Support general operations as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in harvesting, produce handling, or food operations is an asset
- Basic English communication skills preferred
Salary
- Hourly wage: CAD $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
(Wages may vary based on experience, job duties, and Alberta employment standards)
