Job Description
Larch Grove Farm Ltd. is seeking a dependable Contractor – Agricultural Service to provide hands-on support for day-to-day farm operations in Cormack, Newfoundland and Labrador. This role involves performing a range of agricultural service tasks that support crop production, land maintenance, and general farm activities.
This opportunity is open to Canadian residents and foreign workers who are legally eligible to work in Canada. Employer assistance with a work permit or LMIA may be considered for qualified foreign applicants, subject to Canadian immigration regulations and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform agricultural service tasks such as land preparation and field support
- Assist with planting, harvesting, and crop handling activities
- Operate and maintain basic farm tools and equipment
- Support irrigation, fencing, and general farm maintenance
- Follow workplace safety and farm operation standards
- Work independently or under direction as required
- Report equipment issues or operational concerns promptly
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in agricultural or farm service work is an asset
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of basic farm equipment and tools
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and meet task deadlines
- Good communication skills; basic English preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours during peak seasons
Salary
- Hourly rate: CAD $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
