Job Description

Home Instead – Leduc AB is hiring caring and dependable Caregivers to support seniors and adults who need help at home. This role is ideal for individuals who are kind, patient, and enjoy helping others live safely and comfortably.

As a Caregiver, you will assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. You will work closely with clients and their families while following care plans and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Prepare simple and healthy meals.
  3. Provide companionship and emotional support.
  4. Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
  5. Remind clients to take medications (as directed).
  6. Accompany clients to appointments if required.
  7. Keep accurate daily care records.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Caregiver training or health care aide certificate is an asset.
  • Previous caregiving experience is an advantage.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Physically able to assist clients with mobility.

Work Conditions

  • Work in clients’ homes in Leduc County and nearby areas.
  • Day, evening, weekend, or overnight shifts may be required.
  • Some tasks may involve lifting or supporting clients.
  • Must follow health and safety policies.
