Hilton Canada is actively recruiting experienced Restaurant Managers to oversee dining operations at properties across the country. This leadership role is responsible for managing all Front of House Food and Beverage operations, including the hotel restaurant, bar, lounge, and banquet services. The Restaurant Manager at Hilton Canada serves as the operational leader for all dining outlets within the hotel property. Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all Front of House Food and Beverage operations including the restaurant, bar, lounge, and banquet facilities
  • Ensure operational excellence across all meal periods and catering events, consistently exceeding guest expectations
  • Plan, direct, and execute banquet and event operations in alignment with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Manage real-time problem solving and last-minute adjustments during service periods
  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with brand standards

Team Management & Development

  • Build, coach, and develop a highly engaged team through effective leadership, training programs, and recognition initiatives
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, payroll administration, and labor cost control to optimize productivity
  • Establish, implement, and enforce service standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training programs
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members
  • Foster an inclusive, inspiring work environment where team members feel empowered to deliver their best

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Monitor and control labor costs, food costs, and operating expenses within approved budgets
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting for the Food and Beverage department
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure adequate stock levels and cost efficiency
  • Process invoices, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper cash handling procedures

Guest Experience & Quality Assurance

  • Act as a hospitality ambassador, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly
  • Monitor guest feedback and online reviews, implementing improvement strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and Hilton brand requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of Food and Beverage leadership experience, preferably in a full-service hotel or high-volume restaurant environment
  • Proven track record of leading, training, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including POS systems, reservation platforms, and inventory management
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, labor management tools, and P&L accountability
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills in English; bilingualism (French) is an asset for Quebec locations
  • Valid Food Safety Certification (Level 1 or equivalent) and Smart Serve Certification (or provincial equivalent)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
