Job Description
COOP AVANTIS is seeking dedicated General Farm Workers to support agricultural operations across our network of farms, grain centres, feed mills, and livestock facilities in Quebec and New Brunswick. Key Responsibilities
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, irrigate, and harvest crops according to seasonal schedules and agronomic recommendations.
Feed and tend livestock including cattle, poultry, and other farm animals; monitor animal health and report concerns to supervisors.
Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain sanitary conditions and comply with animal welfare standards.
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment such as tractors, harvesters, seeders, and irrigation systems.
Assist with grain receiving, conditioning, storage, and handling at grain elevator facilities.
Detect disease and health problems in crops and livestock; assist with breeding and veterinary care activities.
Maintain and repair farm infrastructure, buildings, equipment, and irrigation systems as needed.
Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and food safety standards in daily operations.
Prepare animals and products for market or transportation; assist with loading and unloading operations.
Collaborate with farm managers, agronomists, and cooperative specialists to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency.
