Job Description
Chef in Town is hiring dedicated and responsible Food Processing Sanitation Workers to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across food production areas. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high sanitation standards in a food manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided.
Salary
- CAD $16 – $22 per hour (depending on experience and shift schedule)
- Overtime pay as per Canadian labor laws
- Weekly or bi-weekly wage payments
Roles and Responsibilities
- Cleaning and sanitizing food processing equipment and work areas
- Washing production tools, containers, and machinery parts
- Following strict food safety and sanitation procedures
- Handling cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
- Maintaining records of cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Reporting safety or maintenance issues to supervisors
- Supporting production teams by ensuring a hygienic workspace
Qualifications and Skills
- No formal education required
- Previous sanitation, cleaning, or food processing experience is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Basic English communication skills preferred
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious
