I’m an enthusiastic, conscientious and determined individual who is confident in providing a high level of service to each customer or client I encounter. I gain great satisfaction in providing a high quality of service to all entities, whether internal or external customers. And I work effectively as part of a team by providing motivational support and assistance in all areas. I am self-motivated; I understand the importance of time management and team goals and how individual objectives fit into those of a team. I think logically and I’m able to demonstrate an understanding of key issues and evaluate different options in order to prepare practical and appropriate solutions. I can communicate information clearly, concisely and accurately covering all relevant points. I recognise the principle of Equal Opportunity and feel a person regardless of race, gender, sexuality, disability, religion etc should be treated as an equal according to their needs.
Thank you for your consideration.
Experience
Whilst working with Serco I have remained diligent in my progression as an officer, I have held all three positions in the company over the years. These roles entail providing a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and prisoners where everyone is treated with decency, dignity and respect. It involves maintaining and promoting an environment which encourages offenders to behave and address their offending behaviour whilst in court. To carry out the position whilst balancing authority, Prisoner Custody Officers move people quickly, safely and efficiently between prisons or police stations and court appearances. – lightening their mood, allaying their fears, treating them with respect and calming them down, providing compassion and empathy which motivate prisoners to do what is best for them within the working prison agenda. I also managed the court which includes dealing with prisoners at the last stage however enabling and coaching my team to handle different scenarios with confidence is key, also interacting and maintaining open relationships with internal and external providers, e.g.: judges ,barristers, police, ancillary staff, logistics teams, drivers, operations control and maintenance, to name a few along with managing staff of 6-20persons dependant on location, shift patterns, timesheets, holidays, pay query's etc.
