Education
The UC SSTL aims to provide teachers with an opportunity to study the processes of teaching, learning, assessing and evaluating learning in their university, college or school, and of applying this knowledge to their own practices. It aims to provide practising teachers with a solid foundation in key issues connected with teaching, learning and assessment and classroom management in a supportive environment. This is not a teacher-training course in the conventional sense, nor is a license to practice. The course will provide an opportunity for participants to reflect, within their own context, on student-centred learning, (planning for, delivery of, assessment of) and their own practice in delivering this.
The PRINCE2 Foundation examination is aiming to measure whether a candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a project management team using the PRINCE2 methodology within a project environment supporting PRINCE2.
To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method, specifically, candidates must be able to:
Describe the purpose and major content of all roles, the seven principles, the seven themes and the seven processes
State which management products are input to, and output from the seven processes
State the main purpose, and key contents, of the major management products
State the relationships between processes, deliverables, roles and the management dimensions of a project.
The course consists of a range of disciplines which, together, provide the basis for our experienced tutors to equip students with a wide base of knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to pursuing a career in international business. Studying in Tashkent adds to the richness of experience and the course aims to expose students to aspects of this commercial opportunity. In a fast-changing and unstable global political-economic environment, the course team seek to challenge participants to comprehend contemporary developments in international business and place their own experiences and ambitions within that context.
