Machine operating
Panel wiring, disconnection and reconnection of fixed wiring fittings, earthing and bonding, installation of lighting, power outlets and appliances.
All maintenance and repairs to single lane pressure free conveyors for high speed bottle handling
Maintaining bulk conveyors and their logic speeds, replacement of worn and stretched chains. Working on roller driven conveyors for heavy loads.
Replacing motors and switch gears for conveyors.
Prepare machines for production
Assist machine operators on machine operations
Check and keep records of compliance on all equipment.
Keeping record of inspection certificates for all safety equipment.
Training journeymen, apprentices, and machine operators.
Preventative maintenance and machine restorations.
Residential and commercial/ industrial wiring and installation
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
Lifting and carrying heavy objects
Standing, bending or crouching for long periods
Performing work from tall heights
Climbing ladders, scaffolding or stairs
Performing electrical work in adverse weather conditions or temperatures
Fitting into and working within tight spaces
Ability to distinguish between different colors for wiring tasks
Good hearing and ability to distinguish different sounds
Education
Experience
• All maintenance and repairs to single lane pressure free conveyors for high-speed bottle handling.
• Maintaining bulk conveyors and their logic speeds, replacement of worn and stretched chains. Working on roller driven conveyors for heavy loads.
• Replacing motors and switch gears for conveyors.
• Fault finding on following softwares – Modsoft PLCs, Siemens, Concept and Unit PLCs.
• All maintenance and repairs of Krones machines such as Empty bottle inspectors EBI, Labellers, Linear Packer, Fillers, Palletisers, Pasteurisers, Conveyor Systems.
• Panel wiring, disconnection and reconnection of fixed wiring fittings, earthing and bonding, installation of lighting, power outlets and appliances.
• Installation and connection of low voltage single and multiphase cables and associated fittings.
• Fault finding through schematic diagrams and ladder drawings.
Other Duties
• Health and safety officer (Workshop department) ensure that journeyman and apprentices are abiding with rules and regulations of health, safety and risk-free working environment by conducting ongoing risk assessments and observations.
• Prepare machines for production
• Assist machine operators on machine operations
• Check and keep records of compliance on all equipment.
• Keeping record of inspection certificates for all safety equipment.
• Training and coaching of artisans, apprentices, and machine operators.
• Working with production teams in achieving targets and KPIs.
• All maintenance, fault finding and repairs on Lincon machines, Henny Penny fries and Mac Adams rotary ovens.
• Preventative maintenance and machine restorations.
Other Duties
• Ordering spares for preventative maintenance
• Ensure staff is complying to health and safety regulations
