Responsibilities:
- Sort and grade vegetables based on size, quality, and appearance
- Pack vegetables into appropriate containers or bags according to specific instructions
- Weigh and label packaged vegetables accurately
- Inspect produce for any defects or spoilage and remove damaged items
- Ensure that the packing area is clean and organized at all times
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling vegetables
- Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of packaged vegetables for inventory purposes
- Collaborate with the farm team to meet daily production targets
Requirements:
- No prior experience is required; training will be provided on the job
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with efficiency
- Able to follow instructions accurately and pay attention to detail
- Strong physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads if needed
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in various weather conditions as the farm operates year-round
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring produce accurately
- Flexibility with working hours, as some weekend or early morning shifts may be required during peak seasons
