Area One Farms, a leading agricultural investment firm in Canada, is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals for Farm Worker positions. As a Farm Worker, you will play a crucial role in the success of our farming operations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including planting, harvesting, tending to crops, operating machinery and equipment, maintaining farm infrastructure, and assisting with general farm duties.
Responsibilities:
- Planting, watering, weeding, and caring for crops following established techniques and guidelines.
- Harvesting crops at the appropriate time to ensure product quality.
- Operating machinery such as tractors, harvesters, or irrigation systems.
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of farm equipment as needed.
- Monitoring and reporting any issues or concerns related to crop health or livestock welfare.
- Assisting with general farm duties such as cleaning barns or handling livestock if required.
- Following health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in farming or agricultural-related work is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions effectively.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor for extended periods under varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing farming practices.
- Valid work permit (if applicable) or Canadian citizenship/residency status.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
