As a Poultry Farm Worker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day care and management of poultry on our farm. Your main duties will include feeding, watering, and observing the health and well-being of the birds. You will also be involved in cleaning and maintaining the poultry houses, assisting with vaccinations and medication administration, and monitoring production performance.
Responsibilities:
- Feeding and watering poultry according to the schedule
- Monitoring the health of birds and reporting any signs of illness or distress
- Cleaning and maintaining poultry houses
- Assisting with vaccinations and medication administration
- Collecting eggs and ensuring proper storage
- Recording data on production performance
- Following all biosecurity protocols to prevent disease transmission
- Operating farm equipment safely
- Assisting with other farm tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in poultry farming is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for those willing to learn
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to standard operating procedures
- A valid work visa or willingness to obtain one (Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates)
- Able to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)
- Flexibility regarding working hours, as some weekend work may be required
