As a farm worker at AgWest Ltd., you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to crop production and farm maintenance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Crop cultivation: Assisting with planting, watering, and harvesting crops according to established schedules. This may involve operating machinery such as tractors and irrigation systems.
Pest and weed control: Monitoring crops for pests and diseases, applying appropriate treatments when necessary, and implementing weed control measures to ensure optimal crop health.
Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on farm equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and making minor repairs as needed.
General farm duties: Assisting with general farm maintenance tasks such as fence repairs, building maintenance, and cleaning work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
Record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of daily activities, including crop yields, weather conditions, and any other relevant data.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong work ethic, and be physically fit as the job may involve lifting heavy objects or working outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous experience in farming or agriculture is preferred but not required – we are willing to provide training for the right candidates.

Requirements:-

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (work permits will be provided if necessary).

Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)
Physically fit and able to perform manual labor
Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
