Haliburton County Farmer Market is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Worker – General to joint our team. As a Farm Worker – General, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our farm. From planting and harvesting crops to maintaining equipment and assisting with animal care, your responsibilities will be diverse and rewarding. Responsibilities:
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
- Maintain farm equipment and tools
- Feed, water, and care for livestock
- Perform general maintenance tasks around the farm
- Assist with packaging and preparing products for sale at the farmer’s market
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Prior experience working on a farm is preferred but not required
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- A genuine passion for sustainable agriculture
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility in terms of working hours, as some weekend work may be required during peak seasons
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship (if applicable)
