As a Farm Production Manager at Beretta Farms, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our farm operations. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and sustainable production practices while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and food safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate daily farm activities, including livestock care, feeding, and breeding programs.
2. Implement and monitor sustainable farming practices that prioritize animal welfare, organic production methods, and environmental sustainability.
3. Manage farm staff by providing training, guidance, and support to ensure optimal productivity.
4. Develop and execute farm plans to achieve production targets while adhering to quality standards.
5. Monitor inventory levels of feed, supplies, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
6. Collaborate with veterinarians and other professionals to maintain animal health and prevent disease outbreaks.
7. Implement food safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. Oversee maintenance of farm buildings, machinery, and equipment.
9. Keep accurate records of farm activities such as breeding records, inventory levels, and financial transactions.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in farm management or related field is required.
• Knowledge of organic farming practices is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of livestock care principles including feeding programs, breeding techniques, health management, etc.
• Ability to lead a team effectively by providing clear direction and support.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in the English language (both written and verbal).
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor as required.
• Valid work permit or visa allowing employment in Canada.
