As a Farm Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our farm operations, including crop production, livestock management, and farm maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Planned, organize, and coordinate all farm operations from planting to harvesting or breeding to market.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize crop yields and livestock productivity.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operation while maximizing profits.
- Identify and implement innovative farming techniques to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve sustainability.
- Supervise and lead a team of farm workers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of farm operations.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, financial transactions, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure smooth integration of farm products into the supply chain.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Farm Production Manager or similar role.
- A degree or diploma in Agriculture or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of crop production techniques, livestock management practices, and sustainable farming methods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Proficient in using computer software for record-keeping and data analysis.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).
