As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and passion for gastronomy by developing innovative menus that reflect both local and international flavors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse team of chefs and kitchen staff
- Create and implement menus that are inspired by global cuisines
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
- Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers
- Maintain a strong focus on food safety, hygiene, and sanitation
- Manage food cost controls while maintaining high culinary standards
- Mentor and train junior chefs to enhance there skills and performance
- Collaborate with other departments to create memorable dining experiences for guests
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into menu planning
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large culinary team effectively
- A culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not mandatory
- A valid work visa or eligibility to work in Canada is required
- An excellent understanding of various cooking techniques and international cuisines
- A passion for creating extraordinary dishes using fresh, local ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
