Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily operations of the dairy farm, including feeding, milking, and caring for the cows.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the barns and milking parlors.
- Monitor and observe cow behavior, health, and welfare.
- Administer medications or treatments to cows as instructed by the farm veterinarian.
- Ensure proper record-keeping of milk production, cow health, and any other required documentation.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing fences, cleaning equipment, and maintaining farm buildings.
- Assist with breeding programs and calving operations.
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, loaders, and feed mixers.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working on a dairy farm is preferred but not essential. We are willing to provide training to candidates who demonstrate a genuine passion for farming.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A genuine love for animals with a focus on cow welfare.
- The ability to handle physical demands such as lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
