Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes and using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and joint materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures in residential and commercial buildings.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Good physical condition and endurance.
- Eligibility to work in Canada (visa sponsorship available for qualified international candidates).
