Cargojet Inc., a leading air cargo transportation company in Canada, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Airport Duty Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and seamless operations of our airport facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and coordinate all airport operations, including ground handling, aircraft servicing, and cargo handling
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation regulations, company policies, and safety protocols
3. Liaise with various stakeholders, such as air traffic control, customs, and ground transportation providers, to optimize operations
4. Oversee the training and development of the airport operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
5. Implement effective contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and ensure the timely delivery of cargo
6. Analyze operational data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and productivity
7. Foster a positive work environment and promote a strong safety culture among the team

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in airport operations, preferably in a duty manager or supervisory role
• Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, cargo handling procedures, and airport operations
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven track record of motivating and developing employees
• Proficient in written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders
• Adaptable to changing work environments and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is an asset
