Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hospitality

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival, manage the waitlist, and escort guests to their tables in a timely manner
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations about the menu, including Montana’s signature smoked ribs, steaks, burgers, and seasonal specials
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requests and allergies are properly communicated to the kitchen
  • Deliver food and drinks to tables with professionalism and a friendly attitude
  • Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns immediately
  • Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash and credit transactions with integrity

Host & Seating Duties

  • Manage guest flow, table turns, and seating assignments to optimize restaurant capacity and minimize wait times
  • Maintain an organized waitlist and provide accurate wait time estimates to guests
  • Ensure the host station, entrance area, and dining room are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to pace seating according to kitchen capacity

Team Support & Operations

  • Assist teammates with bussing tables, running food, and resetting stations during busy periods
  • Participate in opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and side work assignments
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations to maintain a safe dining environment
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service
