As a Financial Security Advisor at Sun Life Financial, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their financial futures. Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive personal financial plans for clients covering cash management, insurance coverage, investments, retirement, and estate planning.

Conduct in-depth financial needs analyses to identify gaps in existing coverage and opportunities for wealth growth.

Provide trusted, personalized advice on life insurance, health insurance, segregated funds, and other wealth products.

Build and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive outreach, face-to-face meetings, and virtual consultations.

Arrange for the purchase and sale of financial products and investments in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Monitor client portfolios and adjust strategies as life circumstances and market conditions evolve.

Collaborate with Sun Life’s district leadership, product specialists, and compliance teams to stay current on offerings and regulations.

Proactively prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, and community engagement.

Maintain all required licenses and registrations in good standing with provincial regulators.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years relevant experience in financial services, insurance, sales, or CRM.
  • Valid and active LLQP license (or willingness to obtain before starting).
  • Strong knowledge of retail insurance and investment products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to develop and sustain trusted relationships with diverse clients.

Preferred Assets

  • Valid Mutual Fund License (MFDA or IIROC).
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or progress toward it.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools.
