SUSHIMAN Japanese Restaurant is currently hiring skilled and motivated Cooks to prepare high-quality Japanese dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cooking, enjoy working with fresh ingredients, and wish to build a long-term career in Canada’s restaurant industry. Training and guidance will be provided where required.

Salary

• CAD $17 – $26 per hour (depending on experience and skill level)
• Overtime pay as per Canadian labor laws
• Weekly or bi-weekly salary payments

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Preparing and cooking Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards
2. Assisting in sushi preparation, rice cooking, and ingredient handling
3. Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation consistency
4. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
5. Following food safety and health regulations at all times
6. Managing food preparation during busy service hours
7. Assisting with inventory control and ingredient storage

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous cooking or Japanese cuisine experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food preparation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
• Basic English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
