Organic Farmer

Agrium Inc., a leading global producer and distributor of agricultural products, is seeking passionate and experienced organic farmers to join our team in Canada. As an Organic Farmer, you will play a crucial role in cultivating and maintaining our organic farmland, ensuring the highest quality and sustainable production of organic crops.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of organic farming, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining organic crops
2. Implement and adhere to organic farming practices, such as crop rotation, natural pest control, and soil management
3. Carefully monitor and maintain the health and fertility of the soil, ensuring compliance with organic certification standards
4. Collaborate with the agronomic team to develop and execute strategic plans for organic crop production
5. Maintain detailed records and documentation to support organic certification and regulatory requirements
6. Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of organic farming practices and processes

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in organic farming or a related agricultural field
• Thorough understanding of organic farming principles, techniques, and certification requirements
• Demonstrated expertise in crop management, soil health, and sustainable farming practices
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in the field
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining farm equipment and machinery
