As a Farm Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our farm. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of farm equipment, including tractors, combines, sprayers, and other machinery. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all tasks related to planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Operate farm equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Monitor crop health and report any issues or concerns to the Farm Manager
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve daily production targets
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating farm equipment is preferred
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to work long hours during peak seasons (planting/harvesting)
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Familiarity with basic maintenance procedures for farm equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- A valid visa for working in Canada or willingness for visa sponsorship by Good Life Farms Ltd.
