Mid England Agriculture Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Foreman/Woman to joint our team in the UK. As an Agricultural Foreman/Woman, you will play a crucial role in managing our farming operations and ensuring the successful execution of daily tasks. You will be responsible for supervising a team of agricultural workers, coordinating schedules, and overseeing the implementation of farming techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day agricultural operations
- Coordinate and assign tasks to agricultural workers
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain equipment and machinery in good working condition
- Monitor crop health, and irrigation systems, and implement pest control measures
- Oversee planting, harvesting, and post-harvest activities
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including yields and expenses
- Train new employees on farming techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with management on strategic planning and budgeting
- Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Agricultural Foreman/Woman or a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of crop production techniques and farm machinery operation
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in agriculture
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make quick decisions
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
- Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates
- Agricultural qualifications or certifications are a plus
